Mine were taken at Disneyland this past Sunday, when I went there with my daughter and her family. We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom.

Tuesday December 8, 2009 – 21st of Kislev, 5770

Looking through the list of books I have read in November 2009, the accounting looks a bit skimpy for this bibliophile. But, November was a busy month for me, what with my move back to California. I did manage to read a few books, though:

While at the Fiesta Hanukkah Festival, yesterday, at the Skirball Cultural Center, I bought 920 O’Farrell Street: A Jewish Girlhood in Old San Francisco, by Harriet Lane Levy

Speaking of the Hanukkah Festival…it was a wonderful way to spend the day with my family. There were many activities for children of all ages…toddlers to eighty=year olds, skits that were performed which enriched the Hanukkah traditions and also were educational regarding the Latino Jewish experience. There were pinatas to be broken open, Mariachi players, story readings, and so much more.

Please take a moment today to remember all those U.S. service men and women who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Although that event occurred December 7, 1941, we should not forget those who were killed and those who served in the U.S. military on that fateful day.

Friday December 4, 2009 – 17th of Kislev, 5770

It is once again time for Watery Wednesday photos. My photos are of a rainbow that I saw while moving to California. I was a passenger in my car when these were taken by me, through the raindrops of my car window.

The middle photo was taken through the passenger side mirror…I was trying to be a bit creative with my capture, and was not looking for, or expecting perfection…what with the raindrops, etc. I was just having fun.
