Bevis Marks Synagogue is the oldest Synagogue in England, and one that is still in use for worship. It was founded in 1698 by Sephardic Jews.
Bevis Marks Synagogue is often used for weddings and other important occasions where the Bevis Marks Synagogue landmark is a desired site. It is a tourist attraction for those interested in London Jewish architecture.
Daily tours are given regularly.
Here is an excellent resource and educational website where you can find out more information on this historic Synagogue, and the archives it holds, including certain marriage, death, burial and other archival records.
