The National Museum of American Jewish Military History is an excellent website devoted to Jewish military history.

The website lists their “Hall of Heroes: American Jewish Recipients of The Medal of Honor. The Hall of Heroes list dates back to the U.S. Civil War. The list was last updated in 2000, so not all of the recipients are on there.  TiborRubin’s name is not listed, yet.  He served in the Korean War.

There is also a listing of those Jews who received the Distinguised Service Cross, The Navy Cross and the Air Force Cross.

This Veteran’s Day, November 11th, let us honor all the Jewish Heroes who received The Medal of Honor, and all of our service men and women who strove to make our country more safe and secure, whether Jewish or otherwise.
