Vilnius, Lithuania has its old city section, and within it is the Jewish Section, which was a Jewish ghetto during World War II, where all Jews in and around Vilnius had to live. The majority of the Jews in the Vilnius Jewish ghetto were murdered, either in Vilnius, or exterminated in a camp such as Auschwitz.
This is a recent photo of the old section of the city in Vilnius, Lithuania, and the way this alleyway appears, now, an alleyway that Jews of the past, during the Holocaust, walked across.
A Jewish ghetto, is a Jewish ghetto, and I am sure you all know the less than substandard living conditions in any Jewish ghetto.
