For over four years Father Patrick Desbois has traveled far and wide throughout the Ukranian countryside in order to learn more about the fate of the Ukranian Jews. Through interviews with witnesses, Father Desbois was able to learn about their fate. During his travels, he has uncovered 600 common graves of Jews in the Ukraine according to this news article.
Some of what he discovered, from photographs, documents, witness testimony, belongings, etc., are in an exhibit at the Memorial of the Shoah, in Paris. The Exhibit runs through December 6, 2007. It is sure to be compelling.
